THE POWER OF HAIR.
Hair can be one of our most powerful and seductive accessory',we always have it with us – and its often the key between a gal looking and feeling average or truly stunning.
It can make or break how we feel about ourselves,and our image.
In the documentary, Good Hair, produced by Chris Rock, Maya Angelou says, "Hair is a woman's glory." Glory, self-worth, social acceptance and beauty are all tangled up in every woman's hair. Why is good hair so important for women?
How powerful is it?
Hair is like a picture frame that crops a photo (your face).It can bring focus to where you see beauty in your face. For example fringes will bring attention to the eyes and soft layers below the chin can distract from a week jaw line.
If you are doing display sports, competition dancing or performances ,hair and appearance is even more important. Depending on your style , you'll want a hair style that matches the spirit of what you're doing.
Still, just because we know hair is one of the females most powerful allies's doesn't mean we know how to full make use of it when we’re dancing

At Ahead of hair our PU wefts are hand-crafted using Remy grade hair pulled through a micro-fine layer of Polyurethane to produce a more natural look as the hair appears to sprout from the weft instead of just hanging from it.
Invisible wefts are attached to the hair [not scalp] close to the scalp using flexible bonding tape or liquid adhesive. They are quick to apply and produce seamless bump-free extensions. They can be removed and reused easily.
Although the strip on the top of the weft has an adhesive on it we have found that extra hold is needed, you simply attach the Skin weft PU hair extensions with a double sided tape/liquid gold glue on to your own hair. .
The Skin weft PU hair extensions method is suitable for most persons but specially for those with slightly thinner hair who want it to be thicker and longer, or to hide thinning hair .
The special skin weft surface looks like your own skin making your skin weft PU hair extensions look very natural. Tape on,or seamless as they also are called, can be re-used several times without problems.

Because of the weft nature and ease of application this method is a bonus for clients and salons alike as application time is cut.
So versatile, this type of extensions really comes into its own for covering up thinning hair areas , and whilst applying extensions to areas which are usually a problem, i.e. fringe front and sides where bonds would show.
note: our glue weft hair is great to use in conjunction with micro loop for fringes and sides/ hide thinning areas.
Method one.
Skin Weft PU hair extension. Add a little liquid gold glue or skin wefts PU hair extension tape to the PU surface (skin looking strip at the top)
Then take a thin section of your own hair and attach it in this manner:
Method two.
Skin Weft PU extension + glue +layer of your own hair on top + Skin Weft PU extension ON TOP of that (= the Sandwich method).
You can achieve a stronger bond if you use a flat iron/straighteners at a low temperature. The tape and the PU surfaces are very sensitive to oil products and conditioning products, so be careful whilst conditioning and styling.
If you wish to re-use the Skin Weft PU extensions, the PU must be cleaned with alcohol / glue remover before it is re-attached.

Making the decision to have hair extensions put in is very exciting but it is extremely important to make sure you get them done professionally, otherwise you may experience problems. In order to get the best possible results you need to be prepared to travel as there may not be a hair extension salon in your area. You need to decide on what sort of extensions you are looking for before you choose your salon.
A inexperienced stylist can make the difference between great looking extensions and nightmare hair so be very picky when it comes to choosing your salon and the stylist. Firstly, you need to check that the hair stylist is qualified to apply the type of extensions. The stylist should be a licensed cosmetologist and ideally have bags of experience in applying the type of extensions you are considering. You can ask to see a stylist’s qualifications but don’t forget about word of mouth. By asking around in the area you can find out what sort of a reputation the stylist really has and you can even take a look at her handiwork by meeting some of their clients.
